Joel Andresen joined Avison Young in January 2021 with 14 years of real estate appraisal and consulting experience. Joel’s primary focus has been on the valuation of income producing properties in Greater Edmonton ranging from small, locally owned centres to large institutional grade assets. Joel has completed valuation assignments on over $12 Billion worth of real estate across all major asset classes including several of Edmonton’s largest downtown office towers, shopping centres and industrial business parks. Joel has worked with a wide a wide variety of government, local, national, and international clientele on assignments to assist with financing, financial reporting, internal decision making, cash-in-lieu for Municipal Reserve, wills/estates, matrimonial disputes, foreclosure proceedings, arbitration, negotiation and other purposes. 

Joel holds the AACI, P.App designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada as well as a Diploma in Urban Land Economics (DULE) from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelors Degree in General Studies (BGS) from Athabasca University.
