Avison Young unveils new Capital Markets team in Ottawa as part of Canadian growth strategy

Ottawa, ON – Avison Young today unveils a new Capital Markets team in Ottawa with the arrival of three seasoned experts, led by Principal Graeme Webster, Sales Representative, Senior Associate Benjamin Burns, and Senior Associate, Brokerage Services Jessica Thalen. Together, this team will round out the firm’s already strong Capital Markets group across Canada.

With more than 30 years of combined experience, the trio will focus on transactions involving office, industrial and retail properties in the Ottawa area, and will also partner with Avison Young’s other Capital Markets teams on opportunities in regions across Canada.

For more than 19 years, Webster has been focused on helping clients successfully facilitate transactions with a large portion coming from off-market and unlisted opportunities. He is a respected leader in the community and is known for his abilities to assemble teams with the right mix of industry knowledge and operational excellence to plan and execute seamless transactions for clients. Prior to joining Avison Young, Webster held positions at Colliers and District Realty, and most recently was Partner and co-founder at Ottawa boutique firm, KOBLE Commercial Real Estate Inc.

With more than five years of experience, Burns brings a wealth of knowledge of the Ottawa market. Throughout his career, he has focused on forging strong relationships with clients by delivering expert advice and industry insights that drive critical business decisions. His experience in guiding clients through transactions to maximize value has earned him the reputation as someone to turn to for actionable insights. 

Thalen brings more than 11 years of experience in commercial real estate. Her relentless approach and perceptive mind give her the ability to uncover insights that add value for clients. She is laser-focused on client success and works to ensure clients have the necessary information to make the best business decisions. Her experience and expertise will be a major asset to Avison Young.
