Avison Young names new Managing Director in Vancouver, British Columbia
November 27, 2024Brett Armstrong will lead with a focus on business development and market share
Vancouver, B.C. – Avison Young today announces Brett Armstrong as the new Managing Director (“MD”) in Vancouver, effective December 2. Armstrong will focus on executing on the firm’s core strategic business plan, with emphasis on business development and increasing market share throughout the city and province.
Armstrong first joined Avison Young in 2012 and has focused his career on developing long-term corporate relationships with some of the most prominent owners and occupiers across North America. He most recently served as Principal and Senior Vice President, Leasing in Vancouver and, previously, was based in Toronto, where he was the acting Practice Leader for the Downtown Toronto leasing team.

Armstrong, selected after an extensive search among internal and external candidates, will focus on revenue growth and market share. With an emphasis on team building and career development, he will identify growth opportunities within the Avison Young team while also seeking new talent to welcome to the firm. At the same time, technology and data-driven solutions will remain a differentiator, as Armstrong strives to ensure these are woven into all client offerings. He will also continue to champion Avison Young’s integrated, holistic approach, encouraging the team to partner with service lines and experts across the country and around the world.
