70% of class A office space in Downtown Montreal now LEED certified

The LEED movement has continued to accelerate since the first certification in 2009, with the rate of certified class A office space in Downtown Montreal approaching 70%.
Not only is the total percentage of space certified on the rise, the certification levels are increasing as well. Several buildings have been upgraded from Silver to Gold, and the amount of Platinum space has been rising rapidly since 2020.
LEED platinum space, which has already doubled in quantity compared to last year, has an average availability rate 3.61% lower than the 30% of the inventory still not LEED-certified. This non-certified segment is experiencing average availability rates 2.2% higher than the market average.
