Number of vehicle commuters on the rise in Alberta

Survey data has been released representing the number of people in Alberta who identify as a commuter and who use a vehicle as their primary mode of commuting. The chart represents an annual count of commuters and also the share of vehicles as the primary mode of commuting.
After a significant drop in commuter numbers in 2021 because of the pandemic. Commuters are on the rise during the subsequent two years.
This is positive news for both the economy and commercial real estate. More commuters mean that more people are leaving their homes to work and conduct business in offices, industrial parks, and retail spaces.
